There is a friendly tourist post office in leh market while the head post office is on the airport road, just below tourist reception centre. It is opens from 10am to 5pm with an hour of lunch break at 11pm. Phone and internet cafes are in plenty around Leh market. Airtel, Aircel and BSNL mobiles are available in Leh town. BSNL mobile coverage spreads almost throughout the leh-srinagar highway, but not on the leh manali highway. In many far-off villages there is no phone or interact facility. Sim card and mobiles handset are available in plenty in leh.
